Vivegam editor threatens legal action against a film-based website

Ruben, editor of actor Ajith Kumar’s upcoming film, has threatened to take legal action against the owners of a film-based website for stating that one of his assistnts was responsible for the ‘leak’ of the film’s teaser an hour before its official release.
Ajith Kumar plays an Interpol officer in director Siva’s upcoming film titled as Vivegam which has him romancing the picture-perfect Kajal Aggarwal for the first time on screen. The film also marks actress Akshara Haasan’s debut in Tamil albeit not in the lead role. Anirudh Ravichander scores the film’s music while Satyajyothi Films has produced the film at an undisclosed huge budget.
Ajith’s fans were not amused when the release of the film’s official trailer (on the midnight of 11th May) was preceded by an hour by its ‘unofficial’ release/leak. A prominent film-based website had said that one of the assistants of editor Ruben did it purposely and out of doing some mischief. Ruben was shocked by this allegation.
“Do you know the name of my assistant who works in the film? Don’t spread fake news for the promotion of your website…in fact, I can sue you for dragging my name in the issue. Social media has become so vulnerable that anybody can say anything against anyone without any proof. Have some sense before posting something!” Ruben’s harshly-worded Twitter posting on his Twitter account said.
The website in question reportedly tendered its unconditional apologies to Ruben after he posted the above-said comments.
